Air Force school student die serving punishment in Kaduna

Blaise Aliyu, a student at the Air Force Comprehensive School in Kaduna, has allegedly received the death penalty from two of his senior colleagues.

Aliyu, who became an orphan in 2013 after losing his parents, is supported by his twin brother, who also attends the military boarding school in Mando, Kaduna.

The 15-year-old was allegedly called to their room by two SS3 students, who intended to reprimand him but killed him instead.

The corpse of the deceased has been placed in the mortuary.

Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, a spokesman for the Nigerian Air Force, expressed the organization's sadness in response to the news.

Gabkwet said in a statement released on Saturday that an inquiry is still on to determine the exact facts surrounding the occurrence.

"Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, and the entire NAF family are very pained by the tragic and painful event of a student's untimely death at Air Force Secondary School, Kaduna, on June 19, 2024.

"A thorough investigation is presently underway to determine the how, why, and what caused the victim's death in order to prevent all kinds of rumours. You may be confident that this issue is being given the highest priority it requires and that we won't stop working on it until it is resolved, according to the statement.
