Funke Akindele views her divorces from ex-husbands not as failures

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele emphasized in an interview with Wazobia FM, Lagos, that she doesn't view her two unsuccessful marriages as "failures." She shared that her mother instilled in her the belief that failure is an integral part of the journey to success.

Akindele expressed a pragmatic approach to marriage, stating that she takes it "as it comes." She emphasized the significance of her mental well-being and career, considering them more crucial aspects of her life.

The actress emphasized that her main focus is to lead a meaningful life while providing for her children and siblings.

"If you were to inquire about any setbacks, I wouldn't label them as failures. In my personal life, particularly in marriage, I approach it with an open mind. My mental well-being holds significant importance. My career is a priority, my dear.

"I am driven to make a positive impact, empower countless individuals, and be a source of inspiration for the youth. I must remain resilient for the sake of my children and siblings. My existence has a purpose, so I face life with determination. While I may shed tears and experience moments of vulnerability, I consistently remind myself to 'keep moving' when I look in the mirror," she expressed.
