Asake leads the ranking of the most streamed artists in Nigeria for 2023

Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, widely recognized as Asake, has claimed the top spot on the list of the most streamed musicians in Nigeria. This announcement was made by TurnTable Charts through a list shared on its official X account on Wednesday. Asake has achieved significant commercial success following the release of his hit single 'Omo Ope' in 2022.

In the compilation of the most streamed Nigerian artists in 2023, the singer secured the top position with an impressive 654 million streams. His popularity spanned across various platforms, including Boomplay, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.

Seyi Vibez claimed the second spot, amassing 533 million streams, attributed to the release of 2 albums and 2 EPs. Davido secured the third position on the list with 328 million streams, courtesy of his fourth album, 'Timeless.'

Omah Lay secured the fourth spot with 301 million streams, while Burna Boy completed the top 5, accumulating 282 million streams, driven by the release of his seventh album, 'I Told Them.'
