Bolt suspends more than 5,000 drivers

Bolt, a ride-hailing company, has suspended over 5,000 drivers in the past six months due to non-compliance and safety-related issues. The disclosure was made by Bolt's Country Manager, Yahaya Mohammed, during a recent press conference in Lagos. He emphasized the company's commitment to safety, revealing that Bolt allocated over N20 million to enhance safety features, implement advanced reporting mechanisms, and conduct awareness programs for both drivers and riders. Mohammed highlighted the strict compliance measures, emphasizing that swift consequences, including permanent suspension, are applied to individuals who fail to comply with safety standards.
