Apple to launch new M4 Mac laptop models

Apple is preparing for a "week of announcements" that begins Monday, October 28, with new Macs expected to be among the highlights.

Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior VP of Worldwide Marketing, hinted at the upcoming reveals in a post on X, encouraging fans to "Mac (đŸ˜‰) your calendars!"

"We have an exciting week of announcements ahead, starting on Monday morning," Joswiak had written. "Stay tuned…"

According to industry speculation, Apple will unveil desktop Macs and MacBooks with M4 chipsets next week, one year after introducing its first M3-powered laptops. The M4 chipset was introduced in an iPad Pro earlier this year, but Apple has yet to update its Macs with it.

According to reports, the company plans to release M4-powered iMacs, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and a redesigned Mac mini in early 2025, possibly before the holiday shopping season.

In addition to new hardware, Apple plans to release software updates for the iPhone, iPad, and Mac on Monday, introducing users to the most recent Apple Intelligence features. The company also recently introduced the latest iPad Mini.
