Osimhen set to receive €115,000 weekly payday at Galatasaray

Nigerian Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will earn a whopping €6 million net salary in the 2024-2025 season after joining Turkish Super League club Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli.

The agreement, announced by Galatasaray on Wednesday, means Osimhen will earn approximately €115,000 per week after tax during his one-year stay in Turkey.

Galatasaray confirmed the agreement in an official statement, revealing that Osimhen's transfer was completed without charge.

The 24-year-old, who was recently named African Footballer of the Year, will wear the No. 45 jersey for the Turkish club.



"Victor James Osimhen, a professional footballer, and his club, SSCN Napoli SPA, have agreed to a free temporary transfer.

"The football player will receive a net seasonal salary of 6,000,000 euros for the 2024-2025 season. "It is respectfully announced to the public," the statement said.

Osimhen's move to Turkey concludes a protracted transfer saga involving Chelsea and Saudi club Al Ahli.

After negotiations with Chelsea failed and the Saudi deal fell through, Osimhen's future was uncertain.

However, the loan agreement with Galatasaray provides a temporary solution, with Napoli retaining the option to extend Osimhen's contract until 2027.
