Nigerian forward Dennis rumored to make a comeback to Watford

Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis is reportedly in talks for a return to Championship club Watford. Dennis, currently on loan at Istanbul Basaksehir from Nottingham Forest, has yet to make a significant impact with no goals or assists in eight league appearances this season. During his previous stint at Watford in the 2021/22 season, the 26-year-old scored 10 goals in 35 games. Despite a less prolific spell at Forest with two goals in 19 appearances, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests a surprise return to Watford for Dennis. According to Romano, Watford has agreed to a deal to sign Dennis from Istanbul Basaksehir, with the player accepting a 70% pay cut for the loan until June. Dennis' medical is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday, January 23. Watford, currently in 9th place with 40 points in the Championship league table, may benefit from his return.
