Agagbe commends Lobi Stars for their resilient performance in the victory against Heartland
Lobi Stars' head coach, Eugene Agagbe, has praised his team's tenacity in securing a home victory against Heartland. The Pride of Benue emerged triumphant with a 1-0 win in the matchday 21 fixture held at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday. Kumaga Surr found the net, scoring the sole goal of the game and bringing his season tally to four in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Agagbe acknowledged the significance of his tactical approach in securing the victory.
"I expressed gratitude to my team for their commendable effort," he stated in a post-match interview.
"I anticipated a challenging match because our opponents were determined to fight hard. However, as a coach with a strategy, winning is inevitable. I analyzed the game and observed they were congested in the midfield, so I opted to play wide. It proved effective, resulting in the goal that secured our victory."
With this win, Lobi Stars further solidified their position at the summit of the league table.
