NNPP Expresses Readiness to Form Alliance with APC, Says Jibrin
Abdulmumin Jibrin, the representative for Kiru/Bebeji constituency in Kano, revealed on Sunday that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) is open to forming an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC). Jibrin made this statement while hosting 1,000 Ulamas at his home in Kofa, Bebeji, Kano, for a special prayer session dedicated to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the nation, and the national leader of NNPP and Kwankwasiyya Movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The Ulamas also extended their prayers for the success of Kano state Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the Supreme Court. During the prayer session, the clerics read the Quran 1,101 times and offered special prayers.
Hon Jibrin, emphasizing his close ties with President Tinubu, acknowledged Kwankwaso as his mentor and pledged to support a harmonious relationship between the NNPP flag bearer and the president. He expressed that the NNPP remains open to collaboration, alliance, and merger with the APC, as well as with other parties such as the PDP, LP, or any party showing interest, as long as it benefits the Nigerian people.
The fourth-term lawmaker further committed to leveraging his political network to engage with key figures in Kano politics, working towards resolving issues and easing the current tension in the state arising from the Kano Governorship seat.
