Woman murdered and womb extracted following night at Ibadan nightclub
Following a night out in Ibadan, the lifeless remains of a young nurse were located, her womb conspicuously absent.
Omoniyi Boluwatife, the nurse in question, was discovered deceased and subsequently removed by the authorities in Ibadan, the principal city of Oyo State.
Having recently been officially inducted into the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Boluwatife, a proud alumna of Lead City University, had marked the occasion with a visit to a nightclub on Tuesday evening, tragically meeting her demise thereafter.
In a video that has gained widespread attention, Boluwatife's lifeless form was captured lying on the ground.
The evening prior to this unfortunate occurrence, Boluwatife had bid her mother farewell at the motor park. Her mother had journeyed from Port Harcourt to share in the festivities surrounding Boluwatife's entry into the nursing field.
The informant further shared, "Boluwatife was an active member of our congregation; she even shared her triumphant tale of conquering a lingering academic challenge and graduating, during last week's Sunday service."
"She possesses a serene nature, and learning of her passing deeply affected me," he appended.
Responding to the news of her demise, Copacabana, the nightclub she purportedly visited, refuted claims that the incident transpired on their premises. They clarified that their management cannot assume liability for occurrences transpiring beyond their premises.
In a press release furnished to our correspondent on Friday, the management expressed, "We are disheartened by the tragic incident involving certain patrons subsequent to their departure from our establishment."
"Nonetheless, in our capacity as a nightclub, we are unable to assume accountability for incidents transpiring beyond our premises. Nevertheless, our hearts go out to the affected individuals and their families.
"Our establishment places paramount importance on the safety of all our patrons. Our venue boasts state-of-the-art security systems, solidifying its status as one of the most secure facilities within the city of Ibadan.
In the interim, attempts to contact DSP Adewale Osifeso, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, have proven unsuccessful. Calls and messages directed to his phone number remained unanswered at the time of compiling this report."
