Three siblings in Kwara were discovered lifeless inside an unmoving vehicle

Three siblings, two girls, and a boy, were tragically found lifeless inside a stationary car on Sunday in Ilorin, Kwara State. The heartbreaking incident occurred at their residence on Boluke Line, Zango-Kulende quarters in the Ilorin metropolis. The children, left alone as their mother went out to buy noodles for their upcoming school meals, accidentally locked themselves inside the car and succumbed to suffocation before her return around 2 pm.

Silifat noticed their shoes left outside the stationary car, prompting her to raise the alarm. She had to force open the doors to make the tragic discovery.

The kids were quickly taken to Olutayo Clinic, located near their home, for immediate medical care. Unfortunately, they were later referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where their deaths were officially confirmed.

Subsequently, the trio was laid to rest in a Muslim cemetery, in accordance with Islamic traditions. Despite attempts to contact the Kwara Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ejire Toun, for confirmation, there was no response to calls and text messages at the time of filing this report.
