Three individuals are feared dead as a fire swept through a section of the Canadian Embassy in Abuja on Monday.

According to eyewitnesses, a fire erupted during the repair of the embassy's power generator, resulting in the tragic deaths of three members of the technical crew. Fortunately, one person managed to escape through the roof of the power house. The source informed our correspondent that the sudden fire explosion caused others to be forcefully ejected from the powerhouse.

Embassy staff sought refuge outside the gates as the fire broke out at approximately 11:30 PM. Firefighting trucks arrived to combat the blaze, and rescue efforts were in progress. Our correspondent observed embassy employees being relocated to safety under trees and other secure areas within the embassy's premises. An ambulance arrived to evacuate those affected.
