Family dog kills seven-month-old baby in UK

According to the Nigerianwatch report on Wednesday, a seven-month-old baby girl was attacked by her family's pet dog at their West Midlands city home, resulting in fatal injuries.

After the event, the baby was taken to the hospital in critical condition due to head injuries.

The infant regrettably succumbed to her injuries and died soon after arriving at the hospital, despite receiving immediate medical assistance.

The family's pet dog was taken into custody by authorities and, as a precaution, mercifully slaughtered. The dog was not thought to be of a high-risk breed.

"A baby has tragically died after being bitten by a pet dog at a home in Coventry," West Midlands Police stated in a statement.

"We were called to a property at Shorncliffe Road shortly after 3 pm on Sunday. A driver was mauled while attempting to take a selfie with a bear." In a matter of minutes, we came with our ambulance colleagues.

"The family dog bit the seven-month-old baby girl inside the house, causing severe injuries to her skull. Paramedics treated her on the spot before rushing her to the hospital for more care.

Sadly, she passed very soon after. Her family is still in our thoughts during this terrible time.

"The pet dog, which is not considered to be a dangerous breed, was taken from the house on Sunday and put to death in a compassionate manner.

"Our investigation is still in its preliminary stages, and we are still conducting inquiries."
