Dubois warns Joshua ahead of rematch

IBF world heavyweight boxing champion Daniel Dubois has stated his willingness to have a rematch with former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. In an interview with BoxNation, Dubois expressed his readiness to prove himself as the ultimate champion.

Dubois mentioned that Joshua might have doubts and external influences affecting his decision to fight again, but from his side, he is fully prepared to demonstrate his dominance.

If not Joshua, the 27-year-old is open to seeking redemption against Oleksandr Usyk, should the Ukrainian defeat Tyson Fury in their upcoming rematch in December.

Dubois emphasized the importance of settling the unfinished business with Usyk and aims to emerge victorious in a unification fight.

Joshua's defeat at Wembley Stadium last month has raised concerns about his future in the sport, but he has confirmed his commitment to continue boxing. The rematch is set to take place in the Middle East as part of the Riyadh Season, a festival of entertainment and sports events.

The chairman of the General Entertainment Authority announced a tentative date for the bout between Joshua and Dubois as February.

Dubois faced Usyk in August 2023 and although he initially thought he had scored a knockdown, it was ruled as a low blow, leading to Usyk's eventual victory by ninth-round stoppage.

As for Joshua, he is eager to get back on track and regain his world champion status. He recently mentioned the heavyweight whom he claims to have 'ruined with one punch.'
