Dead University Student, Previously Missing, Discovered in Abuja

Blessing Karami, a student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), who had been missing since September 11, has tragically been discovered deceased.

Blessing went missing after leaving her workplace in Garki, Abuja. Her family has now confirmed that she was found dead on Wednesday evening.

Genesis Moses Karami, the elder brother of the deceased, had relocated from Kaduna to Abuja to lead the search for Blessing. He revealed that her decomposing body was found in the Karmo district of the Federal Capital Territory.

The police had previously arrested Aminu, the boyfriend of the deceased, for questioning regarding her disappearance. Aminu was held at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Durumi.

Karami explained that he received a call about his sister's body while he was at the police station. The caller claimed to have seen a female body in Idu and accurately described what Blessing was wearing on the day she went missing. However, the caller kept changing locations and eventually admitted to the family that Blessing had indeed passed away.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the family decided to arrange for environmental services to help with the removal of Blessing's body, and she was laid to rest in Karmo.
