Adeleke explains that his trip to Thailand was for relaxation and to undergo medical checkups

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has revealed that his visit to Bangkok, Thailand, was for a vacation, during which he also took the opportunity to undergo medical checkups to maintain his fitness.

Speaking to journalists upon his return to Nigeria on Wednesday morning, the Governor stated that he has returned, in good health, and prepared for additional work.

"I traveled to Bangkok in Thailand for my vacation and took the opportunity to undergo medical checkups. As you can see, I am fully fit," he mentioned.

In an earlier statement from his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the Governor expressed his delight at being back and dismissed claims of being unwell.

"I'm thrilled to be back in Nigeria amidst my people. You can all see that I'm in high spirits, recharged, and ready to deliver more good governance and service to the people of Osun.

The speculation about my health is baseless. I am in excellent health. I went on a working vacation to recharge and engage with partners for the development and progress of our state.

Those spreading false information about my trip are simply embarrassed and confounded by our achievements. That's why they're spreading these baseless rumors.

I'm back now, in great health. The positive work continues in Osun," the statement concluded.
