Abiodun pledges to maintain the ongoing infrastructural development in Ogun State

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to maintaining the current pace of infrastructural development across the state. He made this assurance during the commissioning of a newly constructed hospital road in Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area, promising further projects to bolster economic growth in the region.

Abiodun highlighted his government's accomplishment of constructing over 600 kilometers of roads in the past five years, with additional road commissions scheduled for Iperu and Ilaro later in the week. He emphasized the significance of the Ogijo community as an industrial hub benefiting from gas articulation, noting that his administration successfully addressed decades-long electricity challenges by providing transformers and other electrical accessories.

The governor reiterated his pledge made during his visit to the area a year ago to improve infrastructure, commending the contractors for overcoming challenges and completing the project on schedule. He emphasized the pivotal role of road infrastructure in fostering development, asserting that the newly commissioned road would stimulate commercial activities by connecting various communities.

Abiodun assured the community of ongoing and future development initiatives, urging collaboration between traditional leaders, local government officials, and stakeholders to prioritize projects for immediate execution. He emphasized his administration's commitment to fulfilling promises and announced the commencement of a series of project commissions marking the first year of his second term.

Acknowledging the state government's dedication to infrastructure development, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, emphasized the importance of road infrastructure in socio-economic progress. Sagamu Local Government Chairman, Mr. Afolabi Odulate, expressed gratitude for the road construction and highlighted the council's support for the state government in various community road projects.

Representing the Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, Ologijo of Ogijoland, Oba Kezeem Gbadamosi, praised the state government's attention to neglected infrastructural needs and thanked Governor Abiodun for the well-constructed road with proper drainage systems. The monarch called for further attention to other deteriorating roads while appreciating government projects in education, water supply, and electrification benefiting the community.
