All Nigeria presidential contenders will be unable to win the 2023 elections without the backing of youths, according to Henrich Akomolafe, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Ekiti South federal constituency 1.
He also emphasized that the young were the only ones capable of bringing about change in the nation.
On Sunday, Akomolafe, 29, said that without the young, there would be no election in 2023.
As a result, he urged every presidential contender to mobilize young people to secure free, fair, and legitimate elections.
According to him, no matter what politicians say about the next elections, godfatherism will not rescue them unless they bring the young along.
“We’ve witnessed where Nigerian kids are cast aside after elections without delivering the promises they made during electioneering,” he remarked. It would be different this time. They would conserve their votes and select the most trustworthy candidates to power in 2023.
“I’m running because my constituents thought I was worthy of representing them in the National Assembly, which is why I was given a chance to serve them in my district.”
“I think that the youngsters have been underserved, and at my age, I would be the youngest MP to represent my people in Abuja.”
“Let me use this opportunity to rejoice with my Muslim brethren on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Kabir.” “I ask for blessings and a peaceful country.”
