Olowu makes a comeback and pledges to defeat Ganiyu at GOtv Boxing Night 29
Welterweight boxer Taiwo 'Gentle Boy' Olowu is determined to make a triumphant return to GOtv Boxing Night as he prepares to face Ganiyu 'Energy' Kolawole. This welterweight national challenge bout is set to take place at the prestigious Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on September 24.
Olowu is rejoining GOtv Boxing Night after his victory over Isaac "I-Star" Chukwudi in 2021. Expressing his anticipation for the upcoming bout, 'Gentle Boy' stated that both fighters have unfinished business to settle, and he is fully prepared to take down 'Energy' in a decisive manner.
"We faced each other earlier this year at Police College, where I won by majority decision. I am in peak condition, and this time, I intend to knock him out decisively and spare the judges any deliberation," he confidently declared. Olowu boasts a professional record of 15 wins and 2 losses in 17 fights, with nine of those victories coming via knockout.
The GOtv Boxing Night 29 will also feature five additional thrilling bouts in various weight categories, including a national female cruiserweight title fight between Celina "Pretty Assassin" Agwu and Bolatito "Black Tito" Oluwole.
Other exciting matchups include Sodiq "Happy Boy" Adeleke vs. Ibrahim "Golden Boy" Opeyemi, Sifon "Best" Iwatt vs. Yusuf "Omowest" Mohammed in the super flyweight division, and Azeez "Latest" Ayobami vs. Emmanuel "Ability" Abimbola in a national lightweight challenge bout.
