Nottingham Forest has formally presented an offer to Leicester City for the Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Nottingham Forest has successfully negotiated personal terms with Ndidi and is poised to initiate discussions with Leicester.
Ndidi has emerged as a prominent figure in summer transfer discussions, with numerous reports suggesting a potential move for the Nigerian midfielder away from Leicester City during this window.

Should his transition to Nottingham Forest materialize, the Leicester standout will be uniting with fellow Nigerian compatriots Taiwo Awoniyi, Ola Aina, and Emmanuel Dennis at Forest.

Although negotiations continue for a deal involving Brennan Johnson, it seems Nottingham Forest is resolute in enhancing their squad and is actively considering recruiting Ndidi from Leicester.

Ndidi has been associated with a transfer away from the King Power Stadium following Leicester's relegation from the Premier League. With just one year left on his contract with the club, he is at a crossroads in his career.

While offers from Saudi Arabian clubs have reportedly enticed him, the sturdy defensive midfielder still holds potential within Europe and could possibly make a return to the English Premier League.

Valued at €60 million as of June 15, 2022, Ndidi's market value has plummeted by €35 million, now standing at €25 million, indicating a nearly 60 percent depreciation in just over a year.

However, the 26-year-old has also garnered interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich as the summer transfer deadline day approaches on Friday, September 1.
