Burna Boy to perform at UEFA Champions League final

Burna Boy, a Grammy Award-winning singer, will co-headline the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show by Pepsi on Saturday, June 10 at Istanbul's Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

This was announced on the UEFA Champions League website on Thursday.

The Nigerian star, best known for his global chart-topping hit 'Last Last,' will bring his energy and signature soulful afrobeat vibes to millions of fans before the biggest club fixture in football kicks off.

"As a huge football fan myself, I know nothing beats the UEFA Champions League!" That's why I'm thrilled to be performing on the Pepsi stage at this year's championship. Because music and football are the perfect match, you can bet I'll be bringing the vibes and creating magic in Istanbul. The world isn't prepared for what we have planned!" Burna Boy was quoted by UEFA as saying.

The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show by Pepsi, now in its seventh year - formerly known as the UEFA Champions League Opening Ceremony - unites music, sport, and culture in a spectacular performance. The other co-headliner for this year will be announced soon.

"The UEFA Champions League Final Kick-Off Show is a significant part of our joint efforts with Pepsi, providing an incredible opportunity to reach new and younger audiences with some of the biggest names and rising stars in music," said UEFA marketing director Guy-Laurent Epstein. We're excited to present a talented lineup of artists at this season's final in Istanbul in what will undoubtedly be an energetic and memorable performance."
