President Buhari should set himself these 10 tasks for September 2021 with the aim of announcing them as policy achievements on independence day

[1] All those known sponsors of Boko Haram, Iswap and armed herdsmen, whose names have been passed to the intelligence services as being responsible for the bombings and insurgency in the country will be arrested and charged to court

[2] This government shall begin the process of implementing some of the recommendations of the 2014 National Confab report that will transfer economic power back to the federating units

[3] Over the next few weeks, a process will begin to reach an agreement with the various ethnic groups that make up Nigeria with a view to reaching a settlement similar to the 1958 Lancaster House Agreement

[4] Nigeria shall set herself a target of being self-sufficient in power generation by 2025. Clean energy will account for 80% of this

[5] This month, we shall write all all the automobile manufacturers in the world asking them to come and open shop in Nigeria. Our goal is that by 2030, Nigeria shall aim to become the largest manufacturer of electric cars globally

[6] This month, we shall instruct the intelligence agencies to drop all the charges against the government’s political opponents such as Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, Omoyele Sowore, Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Adeyemo. From henceforth, dialogue will be the way forward

[7] We shall establish mobile anti-kidnapping security teams with a view to totally eliminating this scourge by the end of 2021

[8] A new law shall be passed on October 1, barring all public officials from seeking medical attention abroad

[9] A new law shall be passed on October 1, barring the children of all public officials from being educated abroad

[10] As from October 1, it shall be illegal to export any agricultural produce without at least adding 25% value to it
