Nigerians are currently expressing regret over their votes for Tinubu, says PDP

The Ondo State branch of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) expressed its concern on Tuesday regarding the economic hardships faced by Nigerians. The party emphasized that citizens who were influenced to vote for President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are now grappling with a sense of regret due to what they perceive as a miscalculated choice.

The main opposition party pointed out that a significant number of those who had thrown their support behind the APC are now reconsidering their decision, leading to feelings of disillusionment.

Kennedy Peretei, the Publicity Secretary of the PDP in the state, addressed this issue while responding to statements made by Ade Adetimehin, the Chairman of the APC in Ondo State, who had asserted that the PDP had become irrelevant.

Peretei emphasized that instead of making such assertions, Adetimehin should be issuing apologies on behalf of the APC for the suffering and difficulties endured by Nigerians.

Peretei went on to say, "Engaging in a debate with Mr. Ade Adetimehin, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State, over his thoughtless statements would have been unnecessary.

Adetimehin seems to be the only individual unaware that the people of Ondo State squarely hold his party, the APC, and its inequitable government accountable for their eight years of suffering and anguish. This includes the painful consequences of fuel subsidy removal that have affected everyone.

He fails to recognize that even those who were deceived into voting for the APC in the 2023 general elections are already lamenting their miscalculated choice, which has brought about immeasurable hardship upon them and their families."
