Fuel Subsidy Challenges: Onanuga Appeals to Nigerians for Patience with Tinubu
In a statement shared through his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, Bayo Onanuga, a spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu's campaign, earnestly requested Nigerians to exhibit greater patience concerning the effects of the fuel subsidy removal and the subsequent increase in fuel prices.
Nevertheless, the spokesperson for Tinubu's campaign cautioned against launching attacks on the Tinubu-led administration as a reaction to the fuel price increase.
He emphasized the importance of patience and understanding, considering that the entire nation is currently grappling with the consequences of the fuel price increase.
On another note, Onanuga urged the public to await the palliatives pledged by the federal government, which aim to alleviate the impact of the fuel price hike. He expressed optimism that these measures would help ease the burden caused by the rising fuel costs.
Additionally, the President's spokesperson pointed out that the subsidy savings could lead to potential benefits, as more funds would be directed towards various developmental projects in the states.

"My people, patience, patience, patience, please. I beg you all. No country has ever made progress without the people going through some pains. Our country under Tinubu's watch shall certainly excel," he said.
