Passenger slumps and dies at Lagos airport just after arriving aboard a flight from China

AVIATION authorities at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos have launched an investigation after a passenger identified as Chukwuma Anthony Ezeh slumped and died immediately after he arrived on a flight from China.

 

Yesterday, Mr Ezeh collapsed while waiting to collect his luggage at the arrival terminal just after his plane landed. Police spokesman Joseph Alabi, who confirmed the incident said Mr Ezeh, 47, arrived from China aboard an Ethiopian Airlines aircraft.

He added the incident happened at about 3.15pm and the deceased was confirmed dead at the airport’s clinic. Mr Alabi added that Mr Ezeh’s body had been deposited at the Air Force Base Hospital mortuary.

Mr Alabi said: “While walking at the arrival hall, the man slumped and died.” so far the cause of death has not yet been ascertained.
