On Tuesday, the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party announced a suspension of political activities in memory of Ifeanyi, son of hip hop singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, who died on Monday.
Osun PDP expressed condolences to the deceased’s family in a condolence message signed by the party’s Caretaker Chairman, Dr Akindele Adekunle, and obtained in Osogbo.
It also expressed condolences to Dr. Deji Adeleke, the deceased’s grandfather, and the entire Adeleke family, pleading with God to grant the family the strength to bear the loss.
The party also ordered the suspension of all party organs and committees in solidarity with the family, calling the incident “a very sad occurrence.”
“We mourn the sorrowful departure of our son, Ifeanyi,” the statement continued. We pray for his soul’s repose. It’s a sad day, but we remain firm in our faith in the Creator of the Universe.
“It (the PDP) directed that all party organs and committees suspend their activities in solidarity with the family.”
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Davido, our youth ambassador.” We express our condolences to our father figure, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and the Adeleke family as a whole. We beseech the Lord to give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
