Major General Muhammadu (ret.) has stated that Nigerians will appreciate the country’s All Progressives Congress-led government in six months.
The President stated this at the State House on Tuesday, after receiving members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum led by its Chairman and Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. He also stated that there would be no interference in the 2023 elections.
Buhari stated that Nigerians would be able to vote for whomever they desired.
“I want Nigerians to know that we respect them and that we will allow them to vote for whomever they want,” he said.
He expressed confidence that, as a result of the elections in Ekiti and Osun states, the elections in 2023 would be transparent as well.
“We were all present when what happened in Anambra, Ekiti, and the Osun States occurred. “What happened in those states gives me a lot of hope that we’re going to succeed,” Buhari said.
President Buhari also promised that his administration would not allow moneybags to use intimidation, whether materially, morally, or physically, to influence the general election.
“We will not tolerate anyone using their personal resources or influence to intimidate other Nigerians.” We will not tolerate material, moral, or physical intimidation. This is the type of leadership that can emerge and unite our country.
“In six months, Nigerians will recognize that the APC government is sincere and that we respect them.”
