Witnesses are scheduled to appear before the Coroner's inquest on October 13 in the case of Mohbad
The Coroner's inquest into the passing of the late Nigerian artist, Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, convened on Friday at the Magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos. They have scheduled October 13th for witnesses to present their testimonies. Funmi Falana, who represents Mohbad's family, was among the attorneys in attendance during the closed-door proceedings to discuss the procedures for presenting evidence in Candide Johnson's court, according to BBC Pidgin.
Following the proceedings, Falana spoke to the journalists and stated, "Today, our focus was on determining the procedures and timeline that will aid us in seeking justice. We have set a date and will be presenting our witnesses."
The lawyer also emphasized that there is hope for justice, as they are resolutely committed to seeking justice for the late Mohbad.
"We are advocating for justice, and while peace is important, we cannot compromise on the pursuit of justice. We will thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding his death," she further stated.
Mohbad, aged 27, passed away on September 12 and was laid to rest the following day, sparking significant reactions on social media.
