Tinubu expresses sorrow over the demise of Nigeria's inaugural female Major-General, Kale

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Nigeria's pioneering female Major-General, Aderonke Kale, considering it a poignant loss for the nation.

Kale, who held the distinction of being the first female Commander of the Nigerian Army Medical Corps, passed away on Thursday at the age of 84.

In a condolence statement signed by his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu extended heartfelt sympathy to the Kale family, the Nigerian Army, and the medical practitioners' community in Nigeria, mourning the departure of one of their esteemed members.

Tinubu remarked that the late Major General, as a trailblazer in her domain, "epitomized the bravery, professionalism, capability, and resilience of Nigerian women."

The President offered prayers for the peaceful rest of the late officer's soul and urged her grieving family to find comfort in the unparalleled legacy she has bequeathed.
