Tinubu expresses heartfelt condolences to families affected by the India train crash
President Bola Tinubu extends sincere condolences to the people and government of the Republic of India following a tragic train crash that claimed the lives of over 280 passengers. The devastating incident, involving two passenger trains and a goods train, took place on Friday in the city of Balasore, located in the eastern state of Odisha.
In addition to the fatalities, the tragic incident resulted in over 900 individuals sustaining injuries, making it one of the most severe railway accidents in recent memory.
Expressing his deep sympathy for the families affected by this devastating event, President Tinubu, through a statement released on Saturday by his media aide, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, described the accident as "heartrending."
Tinubu conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the tragic and sorrowful train crash in the Indian State of Odisha. "My thoughts and sympathies are with the families during this difficult time," Tinubu expressed.
"We stand united with India in solidarity during this challenging period. The enormity of the crash and the significant number of casualties necessitate global support to assist India in effectively addressing this catastrophic accident.
"I extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to His Excellency Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the people of India, and the families affected by this tragic incident."
