The spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe, has affirmed the apprehension of the proprietor of Great Leaders International School in Agbor-Obi. The arrest is in connection to the alleged rape of a four-year-old female pupil from the school, where a pair of scissors was reportedly used to tear her hymen for penetration.

Rich Aunty Amina (@EverythingMai_), an X (formerly Twitter) user, brought attention to the alleged rape in her post. Amina stated that the school principal utilized scissors to cause harm to the child, mentioning, "She (the girl) came back from school complaining to her mom that she was feeling pains, the mom checked her and saw blood clots coming from the child’s vagina! The man’s lawyer is currently telling the mom that they should just settle her and her daughter."

Initially, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, stated that the police were unaware of the incident and were awaiting an official report from the family. However, in an updated response, Edafe mentioned that the Area Commander in Agbor confirmed the incident occurring two weeks ago. The suspect was arrested, although he denied the allegations.

Edafe emphasized the need for caution against settlements, as such actions can complicate prosecution. He assured that justice would prevail and promised to provide a comprehensive update once available.
