Olofa Ina, the veteran Yoruba actor, will be laid to rest today, as announced by his son

The family of Nollywood actor Chief Adedeji Aderemi, popularly known as Olofa Ina, has announced that his funeral will take place at 4 pm today. Aderemi passed away on Thursday after a prolonged illness. Adetunji, one of the late actor's sons, shared with reporters at Olofa Ina's residence in Wakajaye Street, Ede, Osun State, that his father, remembered for spreading love, had been unwell for some time before succumbing to his illness at a hospital on Thursday.

Expressing, he stated, "I was by his side at the hospital, and I personally brought his body back home. His demise occurred within the hospital premises. He was set to turn 74 in May this year. It's challenging to find words that truly capture him. His love extended to his children and everyone around. He cared for many individuals who were not biologically related to him.

"He consistently offered assistance, no matter the challenges. We are grateful for his life. The burial is scheduled for 4 pm today. Subsequently, family members will convene to discuss further arrangements."

In the meantime, well-wishers are still visiting the late individual's home to offer condolences to the grieving family.

Many shared reflections on the departed individual's life, praising his commendable qualities and urging both family members and professional peers to emulate his noble character.

Alhaji Abdulrahman Adetunji, the younger brother of the late Olofa Ina from Jagun Olukosi Compound, Ede, mentioned that the family provided proper care for the deceased during his illness. He revealed that Olofa Ina passed away at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital in Ile-Ife, Osun State, after receiving treatment in two other hospitals.

The Theatre Art and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria expressed their sorrow at the loss of the veteran Nollywood actor.
