Obi contributes a sum of N20 million to a hospital in Enugu

The former governor of Anambra State shared this information in a post on his X handle on Monday, November 13.

In his commitment to investing in crucial areas of national development, such as health, education, and poverty eradication, he disclosed that he donated N20 million to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital in Nsukka, Enugu State, during his visit over the weekend.

His caption explained, "Over the weekend, I visited Nsukka in Enugu State, where I donated N20 million to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital, Nsukka. This is in line with my consistent commitment to investing in the most critical areas of national development, namely: health, education, and poverty eradication.

"The donation is my initial support to the hospital through the Anglican Bishop of Nsukka, Rt Rev. Aloysius Agbo, to help them commence the building of a College of Nursing Sciences.

"Primary Healthcare delivery revolves around healthcare workers, who form the core of any reputable healthcare system."

"It is imperative to prioritize the training of healthcare workers, particularly in these times when our nation and the world at large face a shortage of these essential healthcare professionals."

"I express my gratitude to the Bishop and the entire team at Faith Foundation Hospital for their courageous initiative in establishing a College of Nursing Sciences.

I am committed to supporting projects that contribute to the development of our nation and bring benefits to Nigerians. By doing so, we can collectively work towards building the New Nigeria of our dreams."
