Nigerian Air Force's Spokesman Confirms No Ongoing Recruitment
Nigerian Air Force Dismisses Fake Recruitment Advert, Warns Against Fraud
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially discredited a recruitment advertisement circulating on various social media platforms, labeling it as fraudulent and an attempt to deceive potential applicants. Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, issued a statement on Monday in Abuja, clarifying that the NAF is not currently conducting any recruitment drive. He urged aspiring candidates to be cautious and not fall victim to fraudsters.
Gabkwet emphasized that the advertised recruitment campaign did not originate from the NAF and reiterated that the service had recently completed the graduation of recruits from Basic Military Training Course 43/2022 on July 8.
He assured the public that any genuine recruitment activities by the Nigerian Air Force would be officially announced, ensuring that everyone is adequately informed.
"The Nigerian Air Force reiterates that the recruitment and selection process within the NAF remains entirely free from any form of gratification. We caution individuals against making any monetary payments under any pretext, as they do so entirely at their own risk.
Additionally, it is essential to note that the NAF recruitment process does not involve any recruitment agents. Therefore, anyone claiming to represent the NAF in such a capacity is engaging in fraudulent activities.
We strongly advise prospective applicants to report promptly to the nearest NAF Unit or the Nigeria Police Force if anyone solicits payments in the guise of facilitating the recruitment process," emphasized the NAF spokesperson.
