Nasarawa gov, APC chair urge unity at ex-deputy gov’s burial
A funeral service was held for Solomon Ewuga, the former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, at the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ, Alushi. The service was attended by prominent figures, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda, Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, and former Minister of Information, Labaran Maku.Speakers at the funeral service called for unity among party members and citizens, urging them to emulate Ewuga's commitment to public service and social justice. Governor Sule described Ewuga as a peaceful man with a good heart, while Labaran Maku referred to him as a "political hurricane" in Nasarawa State.
Ewuga's wife, Josephine, paid tribute to her late husband, describing him as a loving father and a champion of social justice who had helped many people and contributed to the development of society. The General Secretary of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ, Very Rev. Gagara Malauche, urged Christians to live honest lives and to live exemplary lives, noting that Ewuga had made a positive impact on the lives of many citizens.
Solomon Ewuga died on September 23, 2025, at the age of 70, in Cairo, Egypt, where he had gone for medical attention.
