NDLEA Initiates Search For Kayode, Notorious Drug Dealer in Lekki.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has initiated an intensive search for Sowunmi Ayodeji Kayode, a notorious drug dealer based in Lekki, Lagos.
In a press release on Wednesday, Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy at NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja, announced this development. The statement detailed that Kayode is currently evading authorities after a recent incident where he struck an NDLEA officer with his high-end vehicle while attempting to evade arrest during a house search last weekend.
Recalling the events, NDLEA officers had executed a search and potential apprehension operation at Kayode's residence on 2/3 Adetola Ayeni Close in Lekki, Lagos, based on credible intelligence pointing to his involvement in illicit drug activities.
Regrettably, Kayode was not present at his residence during the operation. However, he returned while the anti-narcotics team was still in the process of searching his apartment.
In a startling turn of events, upon entering the premises and spotting the NDLEA officers, he hastily reversed his vehicle, colliding with and injuring one of the officers in the process. He then forcefully knocked down his gate before crashing his car into the neighboring compound's fence.
The impact was so forceful that it caused damage to the concrete wall of the neighboring property. Seizing the moment, Kayode promptly exited his vehicle and fled the scene in an attempt to escape authorities.
