In a statement released on Friday, Uredo Omale, the Head of Public Relations and Protocol Unit of Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, announced that a sum of 313 students has been expelled from the institution. The reason behind their expulsion, as disclosed by Uredo, was their unsatisfactory academic performance.

Following the examination of the report presented by the Academic Board Central Result Verification Committee during a meeting held at the Polytechnic main Campus in Lokoja, the decision to withdraw the students was reached. Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, who serves as both the Chairman of the Board and the Rector of the Polytechnic, emphasized that this action was taken to uphold rigorous academic standards and nurture exceptional academic representatives. The affected students were selected from a total of 17 departments and 28 programs.
