Gombe promotes unity through Bible quiz
The Deputy Governor of Gombe State, Manassah Jatau, has organized the annual Bible Quiz Competition for youths in the Degri-Kulani-Sikkam Ward, Balanga Local Government Area, aiming to promote Biblical literacy and moral development. This year's edition, held at ECWA Church, Gurma, Kulani, featured six Local Churches Councils and focused on the Book of Ecclesiastes and current affairs.The competition seeks to instill Bible reading habits, foster unity among Christian denominations, and prepare youths for future leadership. Deputy Governor Jatau emphasized the importance of studying scriptures, unity, and godly values. However, he expressed concern over poor performance and low attendance from some denominations.
Winners included Dong LCC (first place), Kulani LCC (second place), and Putoki LCC (third place), who received cash prizes and consolation gifts. Clerics appreciated the Deputy Governor's commitment to spiritual growth, urging pastors to support the initiative ¹.
