Fire razes sections of Kano’s Singa market

A fire outbreak in the early hours of Monday has devastated parts of Singa Market in Kano metropolis, leaving traders and residents in despair.

Several areas of the well-known market, including Gidan Mazaf, Gidan Taki, and Gidan Katsinawa along Bello Road, were reportedly affected when the fire started at around three in the morning.

Before emergency personnel could reach the scene, witnesses reported that the fire quickly spread throughout the impacted regions, destroying goods and other valuable items.

As at the time of reporting this story, the cause of the fire had not been determined, and there was no official word on whether lives were lost.
