FCMB appoints Oluyinka Johnson as non-executive director
First City Monument Bank has appointed Ms. Oluyinka Johnson as a Non-Executive Director, subsequent to receiving authorization from the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Ms. Johnson offers more than 20 years of expertise in strategic leadership and operational effectiveness within the financial and business sectors.
Her professional journey includes significant positions at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd, where she was the Group Head of First Shared Services Banking Operations and the Head of Corporate Transformation, overseeing various operational units and spearheading automation and process enhancement initiatives.
Before that, Ms. Johnson co-founded Integrated Business Strategies and acted as Managing Partner, providing advisory services to prominent financial institutions on strategy, transformation, performance improvement, and organizational restructuring.
In the earlier stages of her career, she also served as a Development Engineer for a prominent pharmaceutical company in both the UK and the USA.
As a WimBoard Fellow, Ms. Johnson is devoted to corporate governance, innovation, and promoting women in leadership roles.
Her inclusion strengthens the board diversity of FCMB and highlights the bank’s commitment to strategic leadership and sustainable development.
Ms. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of South Bank, London, UK, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, USA.
The FCMB Board of Directors embraces her appointment, observing that her vast experience in governance, corporate transformation, and operational excellence will offer valuable perspectives and reinforce the bank’s strategic direction as it strives to provide sustainable value to its stakeholders.
