Corps member who died in Lagos train accident buried

Oreoluwa Aina, a 28-year-old National Youth Corps member who was killed in the Lagos train accident on Thursday, March 9, has been laid to rest.

Aina was one of six victims whose deaths were confirmed by the state government.

The late corps member, who worked for the Lagos State Ministry of Education's Curriculum Services Department in Alausa, was buried on Saturday at Atan Cemetery.

The burial was attended by a state government delegation led by the Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo.

The deceased's family members and the State Coordinator of NYSC, Yetunde Baderinwa, were also present.

A passenger train collided with a Lagos State Government staff bus on its way from Ikotun to Alausa, the state secretariat, in the state's PWD area.

The incident occurred around 7:00 a.m.
