A Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Samson Emokhidi, affiliated with the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, has reportedly gone missing in the capital city after leaving his residence on October 1, 2023. According to a statement signed by the Chancellor of the Archdiocese, Fr. Sam Tumba, the priest left without any trace, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

The matter has been reported to civil authorities, who have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. The Archdiocese urged anyone with useful information regarding the priest's whereabouts to contact the Chancery or the appropriate authorities.

The statement emphasized the Archbishop and the Auxiliary Bishop's request for prayers for Rev. Fr. Samson Emokhidi, and expressed gratitude for the anticipated cooperation in this sensitive matter.
