No fresh recruitment into Immigration Service -FG

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board has repudiated an online publication about Nigeria Immigration Service recruitment.

Ja'afaru Ahmed, the board's Secretary, stated this on Monday in Abuja.

Ahmed stated that the board was currently recruiting for the Federal Fire Service, not NIS, as indicated by the online magazine.

"For the sake of clarity, we would like to tell the general public that the board is currently conducting a recruitment process for the FFS exclusively.

"It will commence the next stage of the exercise in August and will conclude the same before the end of September," he informed us.

Recall that the Federal Government announced on Sunday that the next round of the recruitment process for the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Federal Fire Service will begin in August.

Ahmed noted in a statement that the Board's recruitment effort, which was originally scheduled to expire on June 15, 2024, will now terminate by the end of September.

Ahmed said that: "The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board wishes to inform the general public that it will commence the next stage of the recruitment exercise in August, and will conclude the exercise before the end of September 2024."

He declared that all selected candidates would be notified of the next stage of the recruitment process using their contact information.

The Secretary, on the other hand, apologized for being unable to complete the exercise as planned due to personnel audits conducted by Board-administered Services.

He continued, "The board wishes to apologies for its failure to complete the procedure by June 15th, 2024, as previously envisaged.

"This is the result of a recently completed statewide manpower audit exercise in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

"All shortlisted candidates will be duly notified of the next stage through their phone numbers and email addresses."
