Veteran Nigerian Journalist Passes Away
Mamman Adamu, a Nigerian journalist and advertising staff member at a national daily, has passed away at the age of 53 after a brief illness. The deceased, who battled diabetes, died on Saturday.
He was laid to rest in Gwagwalada, Abuja, in accordance with Islamic traditions on Sunday, September 3.
Jemima Martins, the Acting Head of the Advert Department, praised Mamman Adamu for his significant contributions to the organization's growth. She noted his dedication to meeting targets and expressed that his absence would be deeply felt by everyone.
Nuruddeen Lawal, a colleague of Adamu, described him as a friendly, kind, and patient coworker. He also emphasized Adamu's honesty, straightforwardness, and strong work ethic.
Mamman Adamu had been part of the Daily Trust team for nine years and is survived by his wife and four children.
