Davido Makes Afrobeats History with Performance at 2023 PFA Awards
Nigerian music sensation, Davido, achieved another milestone for Afrobeats as he took the stage to perform at the 50th edition of the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) awards held at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester on August 29, 2023. The PFA awards recognize footballers in England and Wales.
Having previously performed at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Davido once again captivated the audience with his global hit track "Unavailable" at the star-studded 2023 PFA awards.
Saka won the 2023 PFA Players’ Young Player of the Year, while Akpom who scored 28 goals in the English Championship for Middlesbrough last season won the PFA Players’ Championship Player of the Year.
After scoring 52 goals in all competitions and helping Manchester City to win the treble – Premier League, FA Cup, and the UEFA Champions League – last season, Erling Haaland emerged as the 2023 PFA Players’ Player of the Year.
