Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, experienced a robbery on the streets of Soho, London, on Saturday. The renowned DJ took to the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to inform her millions of followers that her phone, an iPhone 14 Pro Max, was snatched from her hands abruptly. Expressing her disappointment, DJ Cuppy tweeted, "They thief my iPhone 14 Max Pro from my hand in Soho." In a subsequent post, she playfully suggested that celebrities in her situation might receive a replacement from their fans, saying, "So, am I allowed to ask my cupcakes to buy an iPhone 15 Pro Max? Am just asking if I can ask. I swear I’ve seen my mates in Naija receive cars from their fans." The incident occurred shortly after her father, Femi Otedola, gifted 1 million naira each to 750 students of Augustine University in Lagos State. Otedola made the donation at the university's fifth convocation ceremony, where he was also inaugurated as the university’s chancellor.
