English Premier League giants Newcastle consider bid for Super Eagles winger Simon Moses

ENGLISH Premier League giants Newcastle United are planning an audacious bid for Super Eagles winger Simon Moses in the summer in a transfer deal that is likely to cost the club a €17m transfer fee.

Simon, 24, who currently plays in the French league with Nantes, is actually a Levante player, who he joined in the summer of 2018 from Belgian side Gent for €3m. In 25 appearances for Nantes this season across all competitions Simon has scored eight goals while producing eight assists.

Newcastle join Lyon and Hertha Berlin in looking at Simon, although Nantes have the right of first refusal as a purchase option was included in the loan deal. Nantes, too are thought to be planning to exercise the purchase option in the deal which was set at €5m following a successful loan spell.

In recent years, Liverpool have also been associated with Simon, who can play on either the eight or left flanks as well as a support striker. One other option for Simon is that his parent Spanish club Levante, may also decided to recall him and feature him next season.
