Iyorchia Ayu, the embattled National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, will return to Nigeria tomorrow (Friday), sources told The Nigerianwatch on Thursday.
“The PDP national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, is returning to Nigeria tomorrow (Friday) after an eventful adventure in Europe,” a source said, without providing further details.
According to Nigerianwatch, before departing for Europe, Ayu handed over to the PDP Deputy Chairman (North), Amb. According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser (Media and Communications), Iliya Damagun.
On Tuesday, September 13, a statement was issued titled, ‘Ayu to leave for Europe tomorrow, hands over to Deputy.’
“The PDP National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, will leave Nigeria for Europe tomorrow,” he said (Wednesday).
“Ayu will be away from the country for about two weeks.” While you’re gone, the Deputy Chairman (North), Amb. Iliya Damagun will fill in for him.
“The handover has already been communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission by the National Chairman.” He’ll be back by the end of the month.”
