Nigeria, Turkey set to boost bilateral relations

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Nigeria Türkiye Business Council, has committed to strengthening bilateral relations between Nigeria and Turkey.

Participants in the inauguration of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association at the Turkish Embassy in Abuja emphasized the importance of increasing investments in both countries' security and economic sectors, according to The Punch.

According to a statement issued on Saturday in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by Dr Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, Chief Executive Officer of TMT Travels and Tours Limited, the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and the Nigeria Türkiye Business Council (NTBC) agreed that investments in agriculture, security, tourism, and education are the most effective way to strengthen ties between Nigeria and Turkey.

Onukwubiri stated, "The National President of NACCIMA and Chairman of NTBC, Dele Kelvin Oye Esq., attended the launch of MUSIAD Nigeria, which was held at the Turkiye Embassy in Abuja. He was accompanied by NTBC members Dr. Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, CEO of TMT Travels & Tours Limited, and Mr. Buchi Francis Eche, MD of Dreamland Global Synergy Limited.

"Also present were the Turkiye Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Hidayat Bayraktar, and members of the Turkiye and Nigerian business communities, who strengthened ties between the two countries.

"We agreed that the NTBC and NACCIMA would strengthen bilateral ties in security, agriculture, tourism, and education. We recognise the importance of education, tourism, agriculture, and security in international trade and investment, and NTBC and NACCIMA are committed to achieving this."
