Boboye calls for players to enhance their performance despite the victory at home
Heartland head coach Kennedy Boboye commended his players' resilience in securing a crucial 1-0 home victory against Akwa United on Sunday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. Chidiebere Ajoku netted the decisive goal during first-half stoppage time.
Boboye disclosed that both he and his players are unsatisfied with their current position on the table. Their priority for upcoming games is to secure results that will ensure they stay clear of the relegation zone as quickly as possible.
"We've secured the crucial victory, and it's a done deal. Now, our focus shifts to the upcoming game against Doma United in Gombe," revealed Boboye to the club's media.
"We're in good spirits, and it's a result of the collective hard work of everyone on the team. We'll continue to push because we need to improve our current position."
Heartland FC is set to encounter Doma United in another league fixture on Thursday.
